Dr. Seth Koenig, MD, FCCP will speak about using ultrasound-guided TEE for hemodynamic assessment at CHEST 2019 in New Orleans. Dr. Koenig has worked to bring point-of care ultrasound to the critical care field for over a decade. Along with his colleagues, Dr. Koenig has helped revolutionize the way critically ill patients are managed in the U.S. and around the world. His research interests have led to numerous studies and publications involving point-of-care ultrasonography, particularly in critical care.
Dr. Koenig will give presentations on October 21 and 22, from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. at Fujifilm SonoSite Booth 413. Come visit our booth to discover how TEE can transform how you care for your critically ill patients.
Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) has immediate application in the patient who has undifferentiated cardiorespiratory failure. It is not uncommon for patients to have non-diagnostic transthoracic echocardiographic images (body habitus, dressings, and wounds). Categorization of the shock state is essential for both diagnosis and therapeutic planning. TEE is extremely safe. Gaining competence in image acquisition, interpretation, and clinical integration is in reach for all intensivists interested in point-of-care TEE.
